DATES FOR TOURNAMENT: Registration Friday, May 28th, 7-10 PM. Fishing Thursday June10th thru Saturday, June 12th. Fishing will be from Sunup to 4 PM on the First 2 Days, Sunup to 2 Pm on Saturday.
ENTRY FEE: $100.00 per boat with 4 anglers. Additional anglers will be $25.00 each. Entry fee includes 4 tickets to the awards dinner. Additional tickets to the awards dinner can be purchased for $5.00 each.
REGISTRATION: Completed registration forms need to be turned in at the Captain's meeting on Friday, Friday, May 28th. The Captain's meeting will be held at Hooter's om Palm Beach Lakes from 7 pm to 10 pm. Entry fees need to be paid in cash. No entry fee will be accepted after the Captain's meeting.
TOURNAMENT TYPE: The Marquesas Dolphin Tournament is an angler's tournament. To be eligible for cash prizes, each fish must be entered for weigh-in at the official weigh station at Boca Grande in the presence of the angler who caught the fish. Fish can be brought to the weigh station either by boat or raft.
FISHING LICENSE: All participating angler's must possess a current valid Florida Saltwater Fishing License, unless exempted by State Statute.
ELIGIBLE FISH: Dolphin and Grunts are the only eligible species of fish for cash prizes. Minimum weigh-in weight is 15 pounds. All fish presented for weigh-in must be in fresh edible condition and caught on the day of the tournament. No mutilated fish will be accepted. No fish stuffed with sinkers will be accepted
REFUNDS: No refunds will be given.
COMMUNICATIONS: All participating boats must be equipped with a working VFH radio. The tournament committee will monitor VHF 78.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the tournament committee may postpone the tournament. Boat Captain's are untimely responsible for their equipment and crew and should make the final decision as to safe sea conditions.
TIES: In the event of a tie in weight, the winner will be determined by the earliest weigh-in time.
PRIZES: Each angler is only eligible to win one cash prize.
SCORING: Only one entry per day per angler. The tournament winner will be the angler who catches the heaviest dolphin during the 2 days of fishing.
LINE CLASS: Line class is unlimited. |
